In the conditions of modern social systems, it is relevant to study the problem of political modernization, which allows revealing civilizational aspects of democratic transformations. The article analyzes the postmodern worldview, which is characterized by alternative value systems that destabilize the situation in the human subconscious, which often becomes the cause of illusory and inappropriate revolutions in the worldview of an individual.
